Iran has announced that it has not yet made a final decision regarding a proposed agreement with the United States.

This statement directly contradicts U.S. President Donald Trump, who previously suggested that a breakthrough was just days away. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, stated that discussions of a finalized deal or signing ceremony are premature. However, he did confirm that much of the negotiating text has been drafted.

Mixed messages have arisen following President Trump's assertion that he canceled planned military strikes on Iran due to ongoing discussions at the highest levels in Tehran.

However, Iran maintains that several key issues remain unresolved, particularly its right to uranium enrichment and other strategic priorities. The proposed framework currently under discussion includes a permanent cessation of hostilities, a 60-day window for nuclear negotiations, and discussions regarding the release of frozen Iranian assets. One of the most sensitive issues continues to be the future of the Strait of Hormuz.

Despite optimistic outlooks for diplomacy, tensions continue to escalate, with US forces recently intercepting two Iranian drones near the Strait. This incident clearly demonstrates the precarious nature of the current security environment.
